Golden Oldie Thursday #23: Red

Those of you that have followed me for a while know that red isn't a colour I wear much. I do have a select few that have come into my collection either as gifts or because I found them awesome :D

A couple of years back I was very much in to Cult Nails (a passion that was reignited recently) and bought entire collections back then. When Coco, one of Maria's daughters came up with five gorgeous colours that was released as Coco's Untamed Collection - one of which was a most amazing red - I felt compelled to own them all.

Cult Nails Annaliscious

Annaliscious was named after Coco's best friend - and is the most juicy red polish I own.

It has the most amazing golden glassfleck finish I have ever seen, and I have been constantly looking at my nails these past two days I've worn it. It'll be almost a shame to remove this mani.

The glitter topper on my thumb and pinkie is a one of Red Dog Designs Crooner polishes called Hey! Jealous Lover. An amazing array of glitters, I believe there are more than 20 different glitters in this bottle - some of them are red hearts!!

I used a MoyouLondon plate for the roses on my index and middle fingers. And then I left my ring finger alone ;)

I always get surprised when I wear red - it makes me quite happy :D

Fancy Friday #5: Glitterbomb Celebration

Well as it says Glitterbomb it is - and I sure do celebrate :D

I did a combo of two different indie polish glitter toppers and two KIKO polishes.

Meet KIKO 330 Lilac and Red Dog Designs Here Comes the Parade and Candy Lacquer Garden of Love and KIKO 390 Light Green :

In order to get this result I did THREE layers of the glitters - I guess you could limit yourself to two layers, but after all this is supposed to be a Glitter Celebration :D

I am a total glitter ho and manicures like this makes me happy - I know, I'm definitely not quite sane when it comes to nail polish...

I made a macro of my thumb so you can get an idea of how awesome this polish is - so many things going on. You can see the flower but what you don't see is the butterfly just underneath it :)

I love circle glitter so when I realised Here Comes the Parade was filled with them I almost squeed ;)

My first Red Dog...

Today I have something beautiful to show you. Red Dog Designs is an indie brand made by a girl whom I met in one of the facebook polish groups. Gina does gorgeous glitter bombs that are totally fantastic. In february she released a Valentine collection inspired by Mr. Ol' Blue Eyes aka Frank Sinatra and I fell totally in love with it. I have three of them and here is the first, Be Careful, It's My Heart:

I instantly new which polish I'd use it with when I got the polish and I do believe these two are a perfect fit: China Glaze Deviantly Daring from last year's Bohemian Lustre Chrome Collection.

Totally gorgeous together, I think.

I did some close-ups so you could see the different glitters:

The Ol' Blue Eyes Collection retails for 8.75 $ a piece and can be purchased at Red Dog Designs Bigcartel store, where her two previous collections also are available.
