Fancy Friday #65: Girly

I got up-to-date with my GOT manis so now it is time for my Fancy Friday manis. The first of those that got left behind during my summer vacation was the Girly challenge.

This was as girly as I could get it - a three-colour gradient with stamping and TWO pinks :O.

I used China Glaze Purple Panic as stamping colour and as yo can see it worked fairly okay. I used my MoyouLondon Sailor 04 plate.

The second pink is from Peita's Polish called Pink Blitz. It is from the One Year anniversary What's In-Die Box. Lovely pink holographic, I really like it.

Elevation Polish Matsuda...I have no words for this, it is really stunning - and that is coming from the girl that really doesn't like red. Or pinks. Totally out of my comfort zone here!!

The gray one is Bound to Fall from Dandy Nails. Beautiful polish with blue micro flakes in it. So gorgeous and I need to wear this on it's own soon!

I have to confess I was really out of my comfort zone here but I am actually quite happy with the result. And I might even wear pink and red more often :O.

Fancy Friday #49: If the Shoe Fits

Today's second post is this week's Fancy Friday manicure. As the title suggest it's supposed to ne inspired by a shoe. I'm not big on shoes these days since my knee is acting up and I can hardly wear anything but my MBT shoes. They are comfy as hell to walk in and relieving my knee of a lot of pressure and tension. But they are not good nail art material either :D.

Then I thought what about sneakers and then I was instantly bought back to my very early twenties anf my favourite pair of shoes: my red converse sneakers.

And in my stash is the gorgeous Elevation Polish Matsuda which is almost a perfect match to that colour. So here they are:

Fancy Friday #43: Stripes

Have you ever had an idea for a mani or some nail art that in theory just seemed totally amazing? Well I have on several occasions and some of them are just as marvellous as intended.

And then there are those manis that just don't translate well to the nail in the end. This is one of those.

These four bottles stood on my table the night I did this challenge and I tell you - in real life they looked spectacular together. It turns out they don't translate as well in photos:

Pic du Gar                      Matsuda                            Sarychev                      Streetside, NYC

I tried them on as a skittle and then made alternated stripes. It turned out they all failed miserably - and then I chose the less miserable combination and did as a full mani.

Streetside, NYC as base colour and stripes with the rest.

Hopefully I will soon be able to do a mani that is not so full of fail as the past couple have been.

Remember to check out the rest of the girls, I promise they won't have as much fail as me ;)
